What started with a recruitment interview turned into one of the most transformative journeys of my college life. I joined the Marketing & Sponsorship team with no mechanical background and no driver's licence — just a deep love for cars, motorsport, and the culture around it.
In the early days I was met with the "Why are you even here?" question more than once. But I kept showing up, drawn to the workshop energy and the shared dream of building a race car from scratch.
Slowly the doubts turned into opportunities. I grew into the role, took on real responsibilities, and eventually served as Head of Marketing & Sponsorship — leading efforts to secure funding and build industry relationships all the way to SAE Supra 2025.
Standing with the team as Winners of the Cost Event (ICV Category) made every late night and every moment of doubt completely worth it. More than the trophy, I carry the proof that passion and consistency can carve your place on any team. 🏎️
I feel genuinely lucky to have co-coordinated and conducted Overclocked — a Capture The Flag competition — at the scale and hype it ultimately reached.
It grew from a small activity-hour CTF called Chakravyuham, whose wild response sparked a bigger question: why not build something ambitious enough to earn a name? Hackathons and ideathons always stole the spotlight; we wanted to make CTFs mainstream, fun, and inclusive.
The first two days of marketing were painfully quiet. Then we went all in — hostel rooms, campus corners, posters, reels, everything. Registrations climbed from near zero to 210. Sold out 24 hours before kickoff.
Execution day was equal parts chaos and adrenaline — night shifts, live scoreboards, system bugs, the kind of pressure you only laugh about later. A hybrid online-offline format kept everyone on their toes right to the end.
Overclocked is proof of what a driven, united team can pull off when everyone brings their best. One of the proudest things I've been part of.
